Reflection on the meaning of the Verse indicates that It is the most promising Verse addressed to all sinners. According to a tradition narrated from the Commander of the Faithful, Imam ‘Ali (as), the extent of its implication is such that “No Verse may be found throughout the Holy Qur’an to be more inclusive than this one.” The reason is crystal clear since: 1. The phrase: “O My servants!” is a beacon of Divine Favor. 2. The phrase: “against yourselves” (‘ala anfusihim) designates that man is the source of all his sins. It also makes a reference to Divine Love, since it may be likened to a father addressing his child and saying unto them: “Do not inflict so many wrongs on yourself!” 4. The negative imperative verbal form “Despair not!” (la taqnatu) is also worthy of note since “despair” (qunut) is originally employed in the sense of despair of good but connotes that sinners are not supposed to despair of Divine Favor. One may not expect otherwise from God Almighty Whose Ocean of Mercy is Boundless. His Graciousness exceeds His Wrath and has created His servants to bestow His Mercy upon them rather than subject them to His Wrath and Torment. According to Shi'a, although this word has various usages, there are contextual references [in and out of the text] of this hadith which suggest that the word "Mawla" in this hadith just and only means "prior authority in making a decision." These pieces of evidence are: The coherence and relation between the two phrases "Alast Awla Bikum Min Anfusakum"? ["Have I not a greater right over you than your selves"?] and "Man Kunt Mawlah" ["one for whom I am the Mawla"]: In this hadith, the Prophet (s) clarifies his greater right and authority over the faithful than themselves, based on verse 6 of the Qur'an 33, "The Prophet has a greater right (or a greater authority) over the faithful than they have over their own selves…." The greater right and authority mentioned in this verse is about the life of the faithful and also about ruling them than themselves. When there is a greater right and authority, we must follow and obey the one with that greater right and authority. " این شواهد عبارتند از: انسجام و رابطه دو عبارت «الست اولی بکم من انفسکم» چیست؟ [آیا من بر شما حقی بزرگتر از خود شما ندارم؟] و «من کنت مولا» [«کسی که من برای او مولا هستم»]: در این حدیث، پیامبر (ص) به استناد آیه 6 قرآن سوره 33، حق و حجیت بزرگتر خود را بر مؤمنان از خودشان تصریح می کند: «پیامبر بر مؤمنان از آنان حقی بزرگتر دارد. بر خود دارند…" حق و اختیار بزرگتری که در این آیه ذکر شده، در مورد زندگی مؤمنان و نیز حکمرانی بر آنان از خودشان است. وقتی حق و اختیار بزرگتری وجود دارد، باید از صاحب آن حق و اختیار بزرگتر پیروی و اطاعت کنیم. [📚: الطوسی، التبیان، ج 1، ص 138. 8، ص. 317] به نظر برخی از مفسران، حق و حجّت اکبر که در این آیه آمده است، ناظر به تمام امور دنیوی و معنوی مسلمانان است[📚: البیضاوی، انوار التنزیل، ج 4، ص 225; الزمخشری، الکشاف، ج 3، ص 523] زیرا پیامبر (ص) مؤمنان را فقط به آنچه سعادت دین و دنیا می‌آورد سفارش می‌کند، الزمخشری، الکشاف، ج 3، ص 225] بنابراین، همبستگی میان عبارت مذکور در دلالت بر حق و حجت اکبر و معرفی علی(ع) در عبارت دیگر نشان می دهد که مولا در عبارت دوم از حق و ولایت اکبر علی(ع) بر مسلمانان حمایت کرده است. .
