Law is a social scaling technology. Backed by the coercive power of states, it expands the scope of social ordering beyond small communities and has the potential to transform it. Law can be used as a means for self-governance, but also to advance powerful interests. How it is used is ultimately a matter of normative choice and political clout. CGLT’s mission is to further our understanding of how law alters economic, political and social relations in the context of globalization and how law and lawmaking is changed in this process. از کارهای دیگر مراکزپژوهشی جهان بیاموزیم: https://global-legal-transformation.law.columbia.edu/
