😱 A Life of Utter Ignorance 😱
📖 The Qur'ān states that:
👤 'Every soul tastes death' (Qur'ān 3:185)
🍊When you taste an orange, the orange is no more after you've eaten it. Similarly by tasting death it is we who will put an end to death, not death which will put an end to us.
❓But how does death taste?
🍯 The drink of death is nothing except the outcome of a person's life. If one's life was filled with obedience to God, sincerity and good actions, that drink will be sweet and pleasant. But if one's life was spent in disobeying God, selfishness and evil deeds, that drink will be immensely bitter and difficult to swallow.
💠 The Prophet Muhammad ص is related to have said:
🔹'One who dies without recognising the Imām of his time has died the death of ignorance'
☝️🏽And since death is naught but the outcome of one's life, it is concluded that one who failed to recognise the Imām of his time lived a life of ignorance.
🤷♂ He was ignorant of what God wanted from him, which actions would elevate him. Because all of these are known only by means of the Imām of the time who has been entrusted with knowledge by God Himself. It is the Imām who knows how to elevate each and every one of us to our perfection. If we failed to even recognise the address of that Divinely chosen guide, how exactly will we acquire the knowledge needed to attain human perfection? Thus he shall remain in utter ignorance.

☝️🏽Only God can Appoint Imāms☝️🏽
2⃣ In the Shī`ī school of thought Imāmah has two faces: a Kalāmī face and a Fiqhī one. Kalām is related to God, His attributes and His actions. Fiqh is related to man and the duties he must perform in order to reach perfection.
💠 Imāmah is a Divinely appointed position. It is only God Who can appoint the Imām who is to lead man towards perfection. Why? Because it is He Who knows the inner qualities of each person's character. It is He Whose knowledge comprehends all things, including the knowledge of who bears the capacity of being the Imām of mankind.
👥 We human beings, on the other hand, can only judge by means of what we see in the outward. And many a time this does not leave us with a complete or accurate picture of who a person really is. And we cannot guarantee that a person who we consider to be worthy, will remain that way when tested in new situations. Many a just person turns into a tyrant when given wealth. And many a merciful person turns into a heartless beast when tested with power.
