PPP stands for Presentation, Practice, and Production. It is a widely used teaching model in English Language Teaching (ELT). Here is a brief explanation of each stage:
Presentation: In this stage, the teacher introduces new language concepts (such as vocabulary, grammar, or functional language) in a context that makes sense to the students. This can be done through various means such as stories, dialogues, videos, or texts.
Practice: During this phase, students engage in activities that help them practice the new language in a controlled environment. Activities typically include drills, gap-fill exercises, or structured speaking tasks where students can repeat and use the language with guidance from the teacher.
Production: In the final stage, students use the new language more freely and creatively in less controlled activities. This can involve role-plays, discussions, writing tasks, or other communicative activities where students have the opportunity to produce the language independently.
The PPP model is designed to help learners move from understanding new language concepts to being able to use them confidently in real-life situations.
